ABOUT the ceo

On 5 May 2017, Emerald Organisational Health & Wellbeing Solutions Ltd (EMOHS) was founded by Dr Toyin Adewunmi, following her long-standing passion for continuing to contribute to workplace health and wellbeing. Her background is in Nursing, and she has worked in many capacities and held specialist nursing posts.

Given her passion for workplace health and well-being, in 2002, Dr Adewunmi started her First Degree in Occupational Health at London South Bank University/Kings College Hospital. She is registered on Parts 1 & 3 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council register.

On completing her occupational health programme successfully, Dr Adewunmi has since worked in different capacities, such as Occupational health adviser, Senior occupational health adviser and Occupational health and wellness manager. She has worked with various organisations, such as the National Health Service, Higher Education Institutions, Emergency Services, and Multiple Police Constabularies, among other work organisations. Given that she has worked in various work environments in the past 20 years, Dr Adewunmi has gained multi-faceted experience in addressing workplace health and wellbeing issues.

In addition to her in-depth knowledge and experience in workplace health and well-being, in 2021, Dr Adewunmi completed her PhD in Organisational Health and Well-being at Lancaster University. In her research, she explored the experiences of older workers in the contemporary workplace. Dr Adewunmi continues to chart her course in improving workplace health and well-being.
